5 things to check before you buy
- Who it suits: flat-faced or fussy eaters often find a tilted bowl easier; if your cat eats normally, a plain bowl is fine
- Angle: a gentle tilt is enough; too steep and food slides to one side
- Material: stainless steel and ceramic are easy to clean and hold no odor; some plastics scratch and harbor bacteria
- Stability: a wide base that does not tip when your cat nudges it
- Cleaning: wash daily, especially with wet food, and check for hard-to-clean corners
